OLLI Explorations Near and Far

OLLI in Paris

“Discovery through life adventures — that’s one of the missions of the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at Florida State University.”

Travel enriches one’s life in a variety of ways and many OLLIs throughout the country are offering programs that combine study with travel to locations both near and far.

The OLLI at Florida State University in Tallahassee embodies their mission by ensuring that their members have a large variety of options for travel both locally and internationally. An article by the Tallahassee Democrat details a few of their recent adventures in nearby Fernandina Beach, as well as farther locations of Paris and Normandy to visit memorials of war. Coming up this summer, 25 OLLI travelers will venture to Spain where they will study architecture and immerse themselves in the rich culture of the country. “Preparation for [each] trip through coursework and group meetings helps ensure that travelers have an optimal learning and travel experience.” To learn more about the travel offerings at OLLI FSU, read the full article in the Tallahassee Democrat.
